Conversion of Grade I Listed Elizabethan mansion dating from the 1500’s into a hotel and country club.

L+S+H masterplanned the development and gained planning and Listed Building consents for a hotel, new golf course and clubhouse, sports leisure, 300 seat restaurant, parking and access and other parts of the estate.

Scheme Overview

The estate incorporates scheduled monuments, listed park land and preserved trees - a constrained setting. Acting on behalf of the owner the masterplan for alternative uses for parts of the building required close liaison with the local planning authority, English Heritage and a number of other bodies, and culminated in the granting of planning and listed building consents. The completed hotel and estate is operated by Warner Leisure.
